Okay!
This is my first W.I.P.
Can anyone tell me if this is anything like this that has been asked?
Am I on the right way?
Thanks

Wow you work fast! Looking awesome, your colour scheme reminds me a lot of Clu & his army, the enemies in TRON. And yeah I think your on the right track, the architecture takes on a canyon form so your following the brief as far as I’m aware. Keep it up!
My thoughts exactly… you work fast, Stef! I’m still just digesting the brief. And my lunch. I agree this looks fantastic already. Great start. Tron’s a good comparison, or maybe an evil organic Death Star mother-planet.
Looks like you’re on the right path. Trust your instincts, Luke -um- I mean Stef. The force IS with you…
follow it with confidence. :arteest:
Thank you very much, gentlemen , but this is too much compared Tron that I have ever seen! (do not laugh !) I rush on Google. Then I’ll complete it.
Oh no to be honest the enemies on Tron are much more orange than red don’t be discouraged you have a nice concept here!
That’s a good start but try to experiment some more. I would explore different camera angles to make the environment appear more interesting. You have figured out the design part and established a base idea of what you want the place to look/feel like. Now put your self into the scene and try out looking at it from different angles. Place the camera at a lower point of view for example, and also make your lens more of a wide-angle for this type of establishing shot. Keep going, you’re on the right track. Don’t settle on your initial thought but build upon it…
Milan thank you for your comment …
It’s true that the chosen angle was not very impressive.
So I tried to follow your advice and this is what happens.
It still missing some details and I still have to fix some shadows
I hope that I am still on the right track.
Stef

It progresses slowly but surely.
Your opinion matters to me … Feel free to comment!

I like how it’s coming along, Steph. The tilted angle is really nice and your runway and tower structures are too… love all the detail. But I’ll be honest and say that, to my eye, the space in your most recent WIP feels a bit claustrophobically boxed in [] towards the horizon. I personally believe the distant BG of your previous 2-19-2015 WIP is more interesting for that reason; it’s more open and quite beautiful. Of course, if you don’t agree, then you should definitely stick with your own vision! Overall it’s looking very cool.
Hi all !
I know i’m late… cause of my job…

I’ll post my final work tonight.

Good job, Stef! I like some of the changes you made. The canyon feels much deeper now, which is nice to see in my opinion.
Thad thank you,
I have just followed your comment of 02/21/2015: you were right, it was necessary to open the view.
I must say that all the comments you make on any DMP presented on this forum really seem to me very insightful and timely. Your analysis impress me because you put highlight the problems that go unnoticed among many others. This helps me a lot because by dint of spending all this time on the same DMP, I finally lost in ideas that are not valid. My first WIP on the challenge in February was done quickly because I realized instinct and if it were not for the angle to change, I could have finished much earlier. Then, honestly, I lost myself, so that I personally am not very happy with the version presented.
Thank you again for your comments; I go to your presentation: I have a question for you …
