Hello,

I must say I like the classical feel to your piece, as if it has been painted traditionally. You certainly have an interesting style, and cool design to your architecture  One thing I would say to try help your piece to push for a stronger sense of light.

You could try flattening your piece when you are finished, duplicate the image turn the duplicate layer style to screen. Use curves/levels to make a higher contrast version, warming it in the hue you wish. Then add a layer mask and paint where you want the light. Its a great way of re-lighting an entire scene. I think it will really increase sense of form and sense of light direction.

Also, in response to your recent post in main topic, you can upload your final to www.imgur.com then link the image back here. Make sure its HD res 1920x1080.

regards,
Aaron

Hi Aaron. Thanks for the great advice and tips. It helped a lot. I added some contrast to the image and added light rays, as well as some shadows and highlights in an attempt to make it feel more “alive”.

Here’s my final image (though I just want to keep tweaking and tweaking forever and ever, and make sure every pixel is perfect to my eye. No- I’m not OCD at all  )

Here is the HD file

Thanks for the great challenge…
