Modeling, texturing, shading, facial expressions and hair on Fat Aristocrat’s head for Assassin’s Creed Unity Cinematic. I have started from a headscan, repaired and polished the model. Make-up and the hair are from scratch.

Excellent result. But then you are a Blur employee so that’ s kind of expected…:slight_smile:

Only thing that stands out for me is that the bump on the forehead sweat looks a bit too prominent in places.

Great character.

Great job!
Could we see some more tech info, like size of maps used for diplacement, bump, etc. Some wireframe shot maybe.

Why not use displacement on the skin shader? You can see how flat the skin looks on the tangent points of the face/head, which is not on par with the texture.

@Oscarini: All the maps I used on the face are 8K, the displacement, bump, diffuse, gloss, makeup mask and all the other datamaps are basically 8K in resolution. There is also a microbump tiled very subtly on top of the displacement.
@skillz1: Sorry to dissapoint you but there is displacement. I do not see what flatness are you talking about, but yes, things might look less detailed in certain areas depending on the camera angle/lighting etc. If you are talking about the cheek, that is DOF blurring the image…
