facial rig and skeleton won't work together

#1

I have my mesh rigged to a skeleton and waited to it and everything and I have my facial rig weighted and everything the problem that Im having is when I move the 2. When I move the skeleton rig the facial rig stays in place and causes the mesh to stretch. I tried parenting the facial rig to the skeleton and that didn’t work. I tried parenting it to the mesh itself and that didnt work. I tried parenting it to some other things and that didn’t work. What should I do.

Need more info. How did you rig the face?

hey , it seems that you re having a big probleme , it makes no snese that the face doesn’t move , are you sure it is skinned and that the face moves when you rotate the head for example ???

Looks like the facial rig isn’t in the hierarchy. Make sure the facial rig is parented under the head. Wanna take a pic of the hyperGraph?

#6

I’m not exactly sure what you need to see but in the pics the selected parts are the facial rig and the skeleton main control.
I don’t use hypergraph at all so things are a bit messing. I can show you through the outliner if that helps.

You either need to parent your facialRig group under the head or neck joint or use some kind of constraint. The pics do help, your facial group is not in the hierarchy for the rest of the rig.

whatta nice playblast .
Alright wha tim said is correct , just be sure there is not any kind of other constraint overriding the linking of the face rig with the rest of the rig
