Hi,
When extruding an edge, there seem to be two options in terms of orientation: extruding along the edge normal, or along the world coordinates. What I’m trying to figure out is a way to extrude based on the current screen view. In other words, I’d like to have the extrude gizmo oriented directly at the current viewing angle, so I can extrude based on where I’m looking at the object. In 3DS Max, this is called extruding in screen mode. Is there a way to do this in Maya?
I tried to go into pivot mode when in the extrude tool, but there is no option to rotate the gizmo, only to move it around.
Thanks!
