Hi, just a short question:
I have a mesh, from that I want to save a normal map. It’s just one single mesh. No “target” and “source” mesh, just one mesh. Every tool to extract normal maps uses source and target meshes… How can I extract the normal map from a single mesh ? I tried Maya, Mudbox and Xnormal.

Err, normal maps don’t work that way. Objects don’t have any inherit normal map you can extract; by default, the normal value will be constant across the mesh. A normal map is a 2d way of storing the surface differences between two different meshes.
