Expression - In what Order ?

I’ve been messing around with expressions but, how do you know the right way to write an expression ? I’ve tried nesting brackets within brackets like this:

noise 45,45,45 (Sin(Fc*5)*5)

I get an error ? There must be some common guideline to follow.

Also how would you apply something like this in ICE ?
