Hi all,
I would like to use blender for simulating a smoke colliding with obstacles. I know this is possible, but what I do not know is if I can somehow (e.g. using a python script) export the simulation data (e.g. a 3d density grid) to render it in another application. I’m not interested in rendering the simulation in Blender, I simply need some smoke-like voxel data for my rendering project.
Could you give me a hint whether (and roughly how) I can export the simulation data from Blender? Also, if there is no such way, do you guys know any other free tool that could simulate fluids and allows exporting it?
Thanks!
