I’m a Maya user. I need to export Particle Hair guides from Blender as an .obj file. I managed to find a tut that explains the work around to do so… Extrude a tiny fraction and it will become geometry. I worked out how to successfully export and import an .obj into maya. Now you convert geometric edges to splines in maya, but I can’t individually select the required edges for 2000+ guides. It’ll take weeks. Nor will it let me weld the verts that are close by, because they aren’t exactly neighbors.
So I thought, why not try taking those extruded polys and try a similar thing in Blender before an export. Any ideas?
Does anybody have Modo?.. I heard that its basically the modeling god software, right? Can it work in that?
