Excavator rigging

Not a character but still is a rig.
Fast made rigging animation of excavator that I`m still work on.
Model will be fully animated, with working treads and all “important” parts of excavator :slight_smile:

Im still work on it! Little hold up came up from guy who still sending me pictures of that excavator, Im still waiting for them.
I start in the middle of may and still have “few” major thing to do in this model.
then it will be ready.

And how did you set the rotation between the track and the wheels - driven key?
I never rigged the technick before, so I am quite curious…

Well, I set keys for tracks and frame by frame set a speed of rotation of wheels ( I know, It`s not a PRO method but it work quite well :slight_smile: ) Everything is controlled by Follower and Cyclist plugins and single null object. This object is parented to hull and rotates with proper speed with excavator moving back and forward.

Little glitch is with rotation. And here is my question! How to rotate track in proper direction with excavator turning left and right? You know for example when vehicle turn left, left track rotate backwards ect. How to set it up?
