Errors with Uv's

#1

I decided to creat a account on CG since I have encountered some problems with my model the last days… I searched allover google but couldnt find a fix.

So lets get to the point, I have polypainted my model and would like to import the model with polypaint into keyshot. In order to do that I first have to create UV’s. Here starts the trouble.

I managed to create a uv with uv master for the mouth without any problems. Then I created a ‘‘texture from polypaint’’ I imported it in keyshot and so far no problems the polypaint is there and all.

Now I wanted to repeat the same process with a heavier subtool (the head).
Because this subtool had more polygons I used the decimation master first to be able to create some UV’s afterwards. after that I created a clone from the UV master and created my Uv’s. Then I Copyd the UV’s and pasted them onto my subtool while the lowest subdiv was active. I then get the error incompatible uv’s. Turned out that i didnt aply the decimation to this subtool. So after aplying the decimation I tried again to paste the UV’s from my clone to the subtool. This time Zbrush Chrashes with the same error.

If there is another way to create a texture that can be imported onto my model in keyshot please tell me because I’ve been working on this model for 5 days while without all these shitty UV errors and chrashes I probably would have saved 3 days :banghead:

btw I’m still new in zbrush but all help is welcome!

You don’t need UVs or a texture map file. Keyshot bridge will import the polypaint directly.

Also, you want to finish your UVs before decimating. The way you’re doing it, UVmaster is bound to crash. There is an option to ‘keep UVs’ in DeciMaster. So unwrap your subtool, copy/paste the UVs, and then decimate.
