Eon (Illustration) Entry: Torsten Wolber

Minor points:

I think the right side, where you show city, is listing clockwise. It feels like its falling away. Try rotating those elements counter-clockwise by maybe 10 or 15 degrees. It will slightly violate the radiating lines of perspective but will feel better about ‘wrapping around’ the action. The overall feel is quite good, with the strong elements and the backgrounders. Another graphic idea is to make more of a bright spot on Patricia’s face and chest to carry the light of the flaw right through her.

Hi Ernest, good points, thanks a lot for the suggestions. Hmja, will try that later on in case i will come back to this one. Sounds interesting, especially the thing with the spot.

Guys, i suffer from trying to meet one deadline after another… Keeps me from doing those really important things here. I mean, to have fun is important, isn´t it?

#103

O.K., this may not be exactly useful…

#104

That is the idea dude! Keep at it. I am interested to see what you do next!

#105

Hey Torsten!

You’ve some really nice stuff here, but this concept is my favorite so far…striking picture, very good composition, it’s all in to make it a real eyecatcher and it’s near to the story:thumbsup: …I’m curious to watch your progress now!

Nice day for you!

Beautiful colors and nice atmosphere!
It’d look even more impressive if they were in a bigger environment, with visible details, yet dwarved by the place…

good luck!

#118

Lucky u guyz who manage to read the book! So now we r waiting that u illustrate it for us, so we can also get some visuals from a story, hehe. I hope for some more concepts soon, u r doing really impressive art!

#119

I’ve been extremely busy lately, so this will be my more general approach to meet the deadline within the last week.

#120

Hey, you guys. First of all i have the feeling to make a formal apology to all of you for being such a lame duck.
I really felt bad about chicken out of this contest. The amount of work before chrismas this time was simply ridiculous, and the thing was that these were joboffers who were both interesting AND well paid. Hard to resist cough

I was reading all your comments and still appreciate deply this invaluable input you all gave me!
I´m lost for words about this ( especially in english)…

Since this still even made me feel worse about this whole thing i decided to go for it and finish ANYTHING in the last week. Therefore i made a speedy today ( well… actually it took several hours and many speedies to get this last one) and try to meet the deadline doing this Movieposter.
I´m pretty sure some of you will be disappointed for not finishing for example the first sketch i made. But when i read the book, i felt this scene didn´t fit in well with the concept and mood of the book. Which i enjoyed reading a lot i might add.

Anyway, thanks a milion again for the great support and wish me luck for the last week
