enabling Vray Shaders

i cant seem to find where in the plugin manager i enable Vray shaders,
how is it called?

Set your curent render engine to V-Ray, and shaders will be there

sorry but where do i do that?
in my render option i have maya software maya hardware,
and mental ray (which is what is set atm)
am i looking in the wrong place?

You’ll not be able to use those unless you actually got a license of Vray installed.

By default Maya comes with the 3 you listed - Software and Hardware internal Renderer and Mental Ray. Unless something is terribly amiss, Autodesk doesn’t ship Maya with Vray :smiley: .

I’d suggest sticking with Mental Ray, which is perfectly capable of achieving quite the same grade of realism as Vray does - if you bother to learn the technical bits.
