Hiho,
I’ll outhouse this study from my Animation-Learning-Thread, so that it can be discussed external (and also for those people who don’t read the learning thread
)
Following idea: I wanted to know how eyes, nose and mouth influence the appeareance and readability of a facial expression, so I photographed my little brother and vice versa in six different expressions: neutral, aggression, joy, grief, lust and fear.
Altough there’s much time left until I’ll make the first facial animation, I wanted to understand the face and its different parts.
The interpretation of this study can be discussed
Hopefully sopme of you can use this material.
PS: little Easter Egg…
Gentle
EDIT: The first row are photographs (with a changed background), the rest of the images are neutral poses with one part of the face isolated. Therefore I used Photoshop 6, as you can see, some of the bottom images are impossible to mimic and look really unbeleiveable:
This was my intention, to find out, how a face is being recognized that has just a partly mimic, and how believeable the isolated parts look like.
