embedded compsotions adapt to frame rate?

I have rendered something at 30 frames. I need to convert it to 24fps. My question is if I change the upper most comp will it change the embedded frame rate? Will it render out 24 with same timing? Will it Blend? What will happen? I tried doing a test but I don’t really have the eye to tell and the entire comp take 6 hours to render. Thanks.

You already have rendered and exported a movie file at 30 frames per second, and you want to convert that to 24 frames per second?

Or do you have a composition at 30 frames per second and you want to convert that to 24 frames per second?
