for a while now i have been working on modeling elsa please comment feedback

i need to add eyebrows and eyelashes unless i want the mona lisa lol. i used a lot of movie pictures as references i have not used Schpielkind as a reference! so please dont think that.
it is still a W.I.P so its not top notch xD. i dont this i will release it (not like any one wants it XD)
i used 3ds max for modeling (and a bit of z-brush) i will rig it in maya and textures were done in photoshop.

so ive been working on elsa a bit more like the clothing

im not 101% happy with it… im thinking of modeling it again and textures are still not done

i need to make a fleshy looking skin texture.
ive still got a long time before i import into maya
and start rigging im going to create a ‘simple rig’ to see the right and wrong in my model
i have absolutely no idea how im going to create the dress texture i have away of the arms
on the arms the textures done just the mesh texture has to be done and cape ive got away. just the dress if you’ve got a idea please tell me. thx!

Great work so far buddy, looks like you’ve made a lot of progress so far. I think the only to be concious of is that Elsa is quite a recognisable character so attention to detail will be key to pulling this off. Make sure you keep the base proportions correct and then “build up” the finer detail in the mesh.

Good luck! Post more soon!

ive been editing elsa for some time now, it was really hard! :banghead:
here are the updates please mind that im going to remodel the hair so there will be none in the pics and thoughts are not the final eye textures!

You should share Ambient Occlusion render. Or change your light setup because your don’t show us you full potential with a bad lighting.

personal opinion

#8

i’m using 3ds max to render still and im new to 3ds max before 3ds max i used maya to model… ill try to fix it ones i do ill update the pictures. thank you for telling me

#9

thank you, i wish i could show you my older elsa models but i no longer have them on me…
if you check my newer post it actually resembles elsa

#10

so, something went wrong…
i lost my elsa model… BUT!
i remodelled it and im pretty proud of it!

#11

I’m amazed that no-one else has pointed this out, but she’s cross-eyed!

Fix the eyes before you do anything else.

#12

I’ll fix that it’s just the way I’ve placed them XD
But it’s not the finale texture infact I’ve just added a basic diffuse on the polygons!

#13

You don’t save multiple step of your evolution? I use to save every 30 min a new version

#14

I was getting a new pic and I saved everything on a hard drive but the hard drive crashed making me lose everything on it… But I was planning to restart elsa since my old one was awful as you can see

#15

So I’ve been working on the hair a bit
I’m pretty proud of it
The back bit of the hair is a bit flat but I will fix that
It’s so much more better then the last one
I hope…
And I’ve rendered with a bit more light better then my last

so I’ve moved everything to Maya 2016
and currently using Vray 3.10.01 to render
and when i render i lose all the little detail on the skin
like the blush and the fleshy texture
to show you what i mean here is the texture

and here is the final render:

as you can see the blush has almost gone and there is no speckles of red (that makes the skin texture) there
here is the diffuse:

here is what it looks like before rendering:

please could anyone help? I’m kinda new to Maya… well i have been using its for 3 years now…
