Elephant Walk Cycle

Please critique this walk cycle. This character is made of a paper-like material, so it’s lighter than normal. That’s why I didn’t want hard stomps on the ground, but still be an elephant. I also didn’t want the elephant to sway right to left (back and forth) to the music, but still move sort of along with the music at least so it fits.

Either way, it’s a first attempt. Suggestions, comments, critiques, etc. welcomed, thanks.

Elephant is sort of a hard one for a first attempt. I’d honestly suggest something where it’s easier to find reference. I haven’t personally watched a whole lot of elephants walk, but there definitely should be a sort of cantilever action between the shoulders and the hip, each one bobbing up and down slowly in an offset manner.
Yours has his head bob up/down twice by the time he finishes a cycle.
As far as the swaying, he definitely needs to sway more. Whatever the music is doing, I’m assuming you want him to move in a somewhat natural manner.
Also, you should really look at how the feet plant themselves. They don’t have to stomp, but elephants really sink their weight into their foot as they move forward.
Hope that helps, here’s some reference;
