Eizo - AC:Revelation Fanart

Hu

As I have now finally the time to work on my portfolio I decided to do a project base on Ezio from AC: Revelation. Back in the day when the Digic Trailer was released it completely blew my mind and to this day it is still my favorite trailer. It was also later on one of the main motivators to quit my job as lawyer and switch careers

So here I am, trying to consolidate the knowledge gathered in the last two years. At the moment I am working on the base meshes for sculpting the cloths, but the reference body, face and hands (based on the original model Francisco Randez) are more or less finished. I plan to retouch the skin details there before baking them to real time resolution.

Nevertheless the main reason for posting here is to get feedback to be able to improve faster. So I will be very thankful for anyone willing to spend his/her time to for critques

Sadly time has been more scarce than expected. I didn’t get as far as hoped, but just managed to do the large folds on the clothing. It still needs some refining especially once the bracers, scarf, belts and other assets are placed, as well as some of the folds need to be re-touched (like his left arm).

At first I was temped to work in too many details by sclupting memory folds on those parts, but after reviewing the concept, trailer and game model I noticed the cloth was ment to be thicker and heavier than what I started at that point. I removed those layers and kept the material a little calmer.

For the embrodery I am still thinking about how to approch them - what to do with texture and what to put on the sculpt itself.

C&C are desired

Thanks for the kind words

I hope to find enough time to get some significant progress that is worth posting within the next days. Sadly I have to polish some other stuff quickly as I am thinking about applying for a new job.

Finally found some time to work on this again. Last couple of weeks wents a little awry keeping me from making progress on this project. I hope the distractions are coming now to an end and I can focus on getting this one done.

Boots are not finished, as a couple of minor things are missing (like bolts connecting straps to the boots) and I have still not completely wraped my head around how to do some of the decorations. On Ubisofts model they look as if made of steel, but to me it looks a little weird as it would just stiffen some odd parts making little sense. So I will have to reduce those decos and do some re-interpretation.

Feedback as always appreciated
