in films they have fire and smoke adde din later. depends on where the smoke is

i know that they film it infront of a black screen

i was wondering after filming this against a black screen how would i go about taking out the black. would it be the same as green screen or do i need to do something different

First off, I’m not sure this is the correct forum for this question - but since it’s here now…

It’s pretty simple. You don’t even have to remove the black background, because it’s all down to basic compositing as illustrated below:

This is of course just a still, but you would do the same with something in motion, although with a dedicated compositing package rather than Photoshop. My apologies for the crappyness of this example - my excuse is that I had only a few minutes before rushing off to the store to buy some milk… which I’m about to do now… hope this helps anyway.
