Effects (Generate/Stroke) versus Cameras

#1

Hello!

Please I need a help…

Well, I have a layer with a simple animation of the Generate // Stroke effect. It works nice.

But, Its a composition that I put in another composition with a camera and… when I zoom the camera in my compostion animation (with the effect), the effect doesn’t zoom with the elements.

In this case, all the elements are in a zoom and the effects stay there intact… and its a 3D layer as all the other elements… :\

What can I do to make my effects linked with the objects while I move my camera?

Thanks!!!

I don’t really understand you. Effects are just pixel data generators and that doesn’t change just by turning a layer into a 3D layer. They stay just as sharp or pixelated as any normal footage item. If you must have sharp strokes, animate the brush size instead of zooming in.

You might have some luck by continually rastorizing the layer (comp) - but I think that Mylenium is correct. Usually for the stroke effect - I keep that element on the main timeline if I want it to interact with the camera.

Thanks suztv and thanks Mylenium!

Yesterday I was trying to solve the problem and, how sad suzty, I had to uncheck the Continually Rasterizing Layer. And voilá, so the effect could zoom as the camera was moving!..

If you want, i can send some example of that!

Thanks again, see you and sorry on my bad english
