editing applied motion capture data

I have applied motion capture data to the character in a setup file, I found online. The transfer seems to have worked perfectly but I want to do a few tweaks here and there to alter start/end pose and fix some floor interaction. The question is, how do I grab the rig or make one inorder to edit that information.
