Edit and brushes greyed out (suddenly)

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this was already asked but I couldn’t find anything that could help me.

I am new to zBrush and I was following some tutorials… everything was find. Then, I stopped working for 10min and I left the software open. When I came back to it, I couldn’t do anything - can’t go into edit mode, brushes and transforms tools… everything is greyed out. Check image attached. What am I doing wrong?

It looks like you might have dropped your tool the the canvas. Can you draw out a new version of the model? If so, do that then hit ‘T’ to edit and Ctrl+N to clear the canvas.

Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Honestly it seems to me that it wasnt supposed to suddenly do this… or something else happened. Not sure.
Anyway, I managed to save the tool and place it again in a new document.
