Hello, i am searching for an online site with a Map of Europe and North Africa with a resolution of about 10000px, preferably a kind of satellite map but without borders, names etc.
The stuff i am now finding is too detailed or the relief data is shades of grey like in GeoTIFF, or have names etc…, or not detailed enough.
Best i have found is this https://maps-for-free.com/ but the relief layers are too sparse. For resolution i could merge several images so it is not the main issue.
I used to use the usgs dem site but it’s a strenuous process and hardly time efficient. I do remember a site that simplified the process about 7 years ago but do not remember the name maybe others here might.
I would suggest looking for you tube videos by Eric Hanson, Alex Alvarez or reaching out to nick hiatt over at terraindomain.com These days most of the artist i know go locally to locations and do scans which wont help ifyou are looking to cover a 4 mile radius much
