Well, I own a license for Dynamite and just installed the new full version (1.2), and It crashes everytime I want to render OR use Viper. I tried both Full AND lite version (not at the same time) to check weither the bug was only in the full version or not and tested It on 3 different machines. (PC) Did anybody experience the same problem?
The developper never answered any of my e-mails in the past so I’m not even trying to contact him on that one…

Other than that, If It worked ,It would be a GREAT plugin!!!

Wow! Cool one there. Alsmost like FumeFX or Afterburn for 3ds max. According to the documentation it seems easy to master too. Gonna try that one.

Have a great weekend!
Daniel

nice one! hope its faster!
hows the 64 bit version guys?

#5

So, Dynamite the full version is around $300 US? Does anyone know where I can find some good samples of Dynamite in action? The website doesn’t do much to inspire. Maybe I’ll just have to try the demo for myself.

#6

Does look interesting, the video compression is really poor unfortunately and it would be nice to see better examples.

Does it work with F-Prime as it’s a totally different rendering engine to HV’s? Is it a pixel filter add on?

well after trying the demo and lite version, I can say that it crashes when trying to use the voxels on particles and trying to view them in viper, seems that a lot of folks have that problem to.
Also I can´t seem to get the voxels show up in viper when they are applied to vertices on
objects it will only show one single point, strange.

I really can´t see any major speed improvements, but I haven´t had any longer indepth
checkup on this plugin. no direct new features except that there´s the mac version, some cache improvements.

I was hoping for some new better swirl controls bouyance and stuff, and perhaps some improved
texturing apart from the 5 noise modes and also improvements on texture animation.
the speed simulation would be nice if it could slow down as the fluids gets older in som kind of fluid age control.

and finally implement a way to get the velocity data from particles that would enhance the fluids very much, explosions and tornado stuff benifits from this, since dynamite don´t
interact with Lightwaves dynamic winds but particles does.

Hi Guys,

I’ve paid for a copy of this software but the company have not yet supplied me a serial. They keep asking for my win dongle I.D, I send them my product lock and that’s not what they want…where the heck do I find out my win dongle I.D any help with this would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Start Layout, go to Help -> About Lightwave 3D, the 5 digit number besides Product Lock is your Dongle ID.

Good luck!

#10

Yes, it crashed on me when I tried to use particles. Now it crashes on everything and I can’t seem to fix it. I was really impressed until this.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get it running again?

#11

Has anyone solved the crah problems with the plugin and what version of Lightwave are you using?

#12

I wouldn´t bother with this plugin until next release if ever?

I don´t think there´s a workaround for this bug, it just won´t work with 32 bit system,on 64 they say it´s ok.

I tried on lw 9.0/9.3/9.5 crashes when using particles or polys, on a single null it´s okey but thats no good.

still amaze me to this very day, that the cantarcan guy hasn´t adressed this somehow by statements on his website, or better yet fix a bug.

have sent several Very nicely suggestions and bug reports to him, no response what so ever…
Makes you really worried to buy the thing…even if he get the bug fixed in the future due to lack of update and information on the site.

So it works fine in LW 8.5 or older?

I have to admit this is the first time I ever seen customer support so distance…its spreading all over the various forums(yahoo groups, newtel, spinquad, etc).

You would think the guy would wanna save face.

#14

Havent tested the latest demo version on 8.5…

I do now that the older demoversions/liteversion 1.0-1.05 should work thou…apart from it
doesn´t seem to render the particles correctly when using different temperatures, but they do
not crash when added on to polygons or particles.

Yeah Im amazed, this guy can´t have missed all the complaints on the forums so it makes
me scratch my head why he can´t simple update with a simple statement on his forum.
probably the guy over at cantarcan are having another fulltime job and very little time else
to work on this, so it puts you in a should I buy this or not situation…personally I would wait
another 6 months and if nothing even updates on the site…forget about the whole thing and look into another software than lightwave if they haven´t developed something own by that time.

#15

Maybe Newtek can just plain ol’ buy this plugin and call it

Gasp!

Hypervoxel 4 or FumeSmoke…

#16

yeah…that´s scratching my head aswell, why not buy it?
questions asked…he don´t want to sell it, it never has been brought up for discussion, he
didn´t get a good offer?

Seriously…both user customers and he would probably benefith from this happening, anyway
how much sales does he get? since there is a lot of potentional buyers out there but whom are scared of to buy it.
and wouldn´t we be better of it was in the hands of Newtek that consist of a team that constantly develops and improves tool and listens to us users(except in this case:))

Michael

#17

maybe he took everyones money and invested it in FumeFX, lol and is now sitting on a beach somewhere?

#18

(bugs bunny voice:) emmmm…Coooould be!

#19

LOL, haha, I can just see him…
