well that´s my first impressions to, this is what is new
[ul]
[li]Sub-Framing in Fluid Simulations[/li][li]Pause / Resume Fluid Calculations[/li][li]Fluid Cache Compression Algorithm[/li][li]Skipping First n-Frames [/li][li]LW Basic Fog Support[/li][li]The new Mac and Win64 versions[/li][li]Various bug fixes[/li][/ul]
[ul][left]Particle Fire Shader works now correctly in v1.2 , Render results can be different due some important changes in the render engine.

no really fancy new stuff such as interactivity between fluids and particles, that is to get velocity data from particles, that would be awesome since we could create fancy wind effects controlled by Lightwaves native winds that effects particles but will be rendered with
fluids.
simulation speed control would be nice to control how billowing smoke slows down at the end, right now thats only effecting the speed constantly throu the whole animation.
I would have seen more texture options and material injections to, and better swirl controls
with such things as bouyance.
the particle fire shader seems a little better than the last version.
And now theres a real documentation of the fluids at the site in pdf format.
Unfortunatly, some people seem to have lost interest in this plugin due to the fact that he seems to have little time for support and responding to customers querys and they don´t want to invest in this plugin because of that.
Well my first impressions is that I had expected more since it was so long time ago from the last version, and Im having doubts if it will be worth investing in if it can´t close in on
other fluids such as maya fluids or fume fx, they seem to be at a different level.
so I believe I will still just check it up for 6 months if some of the above mentioned are implemented I will most likely get this tool.
Otherwise I would probably start learning other tools.
