Dynamic symmetry and perspective. Cannot understand perspective

#1

Hello there, im so sorry if it’s a wrong forum, but i don’t know if devianart might help me there.

I want to draw 2d art and i’m trying to replicate other artist style. It’s been a year since i started drawing and i can’t understand perspective at all.

1st 3 images is other artist sketches, what perpective is that 1,2 or 3 point? To me it looks like multi perspective or something. Does it correlate with dynamic symmetry somehow, because i think he was aware of it. And is it even 2d or 3d art?

2nd image is some rough figure sketch and example of boxes. What kind of perspective is that? Because i dont even understand what i’m doing. When i draw i think of planes, the way i draw is just by drawing countours. Entire figure is always kind of sculpture/3d model.

And how does it work when in manga 1 eye bigger than other due to perspective, especially for wider heads.

IMO, don’t learn perspective by copying another artist. Especially since not all the art you will find is anatomically correct which could actually throw you off.

Get a professional artbook like Andrew Loomis or Burne Horgath and they show you how to draw humans from a variety of poses and camera angles.

Save stylization for the end. Even good cartoon art still requires a solid understanding of the fundamentals.

Also, here’s a very simple trick I learned back in school.
If an object is above the horizon line, it means you will never see its top.
