If you can, try exporting via iges, then export a dxf file (I use Rhino). Rhino will also handle dxf’s but I’ve only brought dxf’s into Rhino.
soooooo what ya saying is that “NO” xsi will not export dxf’s?
I’m looking to export JUST DXF’s, not another file type. and one expensive pice O’ software is enough. The dxf isn’t worth that much.
thanks thought
You don’t need to purchase rhino you can use the demo version to export for free
And yes, XSI does NOT export DXF files at the current time – sorry.

Joe
ya its a mesh but the software the model is being loaded into only excepts dxf, Tiz for crystal etching:) and well, It’s software is, well, lets say limited
My fix was this, export OBJ, import blender, export DXF from Blender, import to dxf to crystal etching software
Blender buy the way seems to handle everyfile type Import/Export under the sun.
The rhino idea was a good one , but blender is free and I can use it indef.
Thanks again All
