Finally I’m done with the sculpting and normals so now I’m ready to start painting the textures!!
Here is a render I did on max to get a very general idea of the colors that I want to use as a base for each element…
DWIV - 3D - Silkcats - DemonAbomination
HELP!!
I’m almost done with my textures but I want to add some glowing details to my character but I don’t know how …
It may sound pretty dumb but I’ve never used glowing effects before, I know that you have make a special Glowing map but I don’t know which material to use or how to apply it to my shader…
(hereis one example of what I want to do)
By the way, I’m using 3DSMax 2009 and MentalRay.
Cheers!!

Thanks Martin!
Now after two days of painting I’m almost done with the textures and shaders, now I’m just adding some details like veins and stuff and also correcting some little glitches on my normals but over all I feel very happy with the result, I hope you like it !

Cheers!

YO! felicitaciones!! looks great! but i think you can do much better with the final render…make it more dramatic. Maybe a back light and a stronger main light…detach him more from the background.
nice job! really nice entry.
como va lo del departamento??
cheers! una chela el finde?
wow silky! u got it…!! watch out tht reflection on the stone is WAAAY too much…
looks good overall tho! i would put a breackup layer on the skin tone tho someting like stone or scratches quickly overlaid just 4 randomness!
how u rendered it BTW?
cheers
S
Kick-ass result! The texturing really rocks here. I agree, that you could improve the rendering, if you can find the time and strength
Hey guys!! Thanks a lot for your feedback, I’ve been working on the story and the rest of the presentation sheets and at the same time trying to get a more “dramatic” lighting to get the best of this creature!! I hope tomorrow I will post a new render but lighting and rendering can be Sooooooo slow some times that I just loose my patience!! I know you know what I’m talking about!!

Keep up!!
Hi everyone!!
So I followed your suggestions and I tried a more dramatic light and I also reduced the reflection on the stone. I’m quite happy with the result but after so much time looking at the same image I’m afraid I may be loosing my objectivity so it would be nice to have some opinions!
Cheers!
