Hey Mihail! Nice job man. The textures are coming great so far. The only thing I could think of is the repetitiveness of the lights (red, orange ones). Perhaps you could break it by adding some green lights or even blue. Specially the weapon, some green lights would enhance the look of it. Also you could add some dirty and olden up the textures, specially in the corners where metal tend to lose it brightness.

James, i took your idea in consideration and did a quick 2 second paint over. You gave me an idea! Im not sure how far it will go hehe, but i got the idea of having maybe a pulsing color from the gun, gradually climbing onto the armor, the only problem is im not sure if it itll fit, which brings the point as to why i kept the same color to begin with: i thought maybe too many colors would ruin the flow. Anyhow, blue green sounds good, but i wont do it throught the whole body, just the gun, up to arm or so. I’ll see! thanks!

Thank you everyone for commenting. here is viewport shot of the backside arms plating and
structure i’ve done, before I retexture the shoulder plates adding the body casings onto
them, and remodel the legs. Once again, this isnt a render so yeah, theres small irregularities :p.

so as i said, i got bored of the legs, i found they lacked the fitting with the rest of the structure of the character. I made the legs fit better, and i wanted them to look a little more menacing. Tri-Flight thrusters on both the thighs and lower part of the legs for increased speed! rawrr. I kept the feet though, i have a certain liking for them.

Gonna finish the textures completely tonite, and most likely do the low rez and baking tomorrow! wish me luck :stuck_out_tongue:

I changed the legs as i said i would, and sort of altered the initial texture direction. So now im basically gonna fix up some of the dark textures, make small parts fit together…and BLam. Low rez time+pose! Many cheers and good luck to all of you!

The model looks awesome! It’s dark…but from what I “can” see, it looks like it has a TON of great details, I hope you’re able to put those through in your final render scene! Good luck for the finish!

Looks awesome dude! Sorry about not checking out ur stuff earlier (been busy).
I love the detailed design on ur model. It just that you need to make it pop out more. Maybe try some color variation in your texture, or material variation. The point is don’t hide your hard work into the darkness. Make them scream for attention :stuck_out_tongue: Keep it up! Good luck on finishing ur entry! (I bailed out on mine. sniff :’( )

holy crap its chen! Its too bad you bailed out on yours, but see your lucky the bastard with a job haha, so its all good! :stuck_out_tongue: but yeah, Like I said, im working on a render scene ; all the images you see of him textured are viewport screenshots hehe, not renders yet, and my render specs are coming out beastly, i just dont wanna post a screenshot till i get it perfect xD! As for the color variation, i’ve taken that into consideration and workin on adding different colors in certain areas. Thanks for commenting dood, I’ll make sure I’ll give everyone some hell. Oh, and did i mention…workin on a new gun…:stuck_out_tongue:

The end is near. So here is yet another near end update

heres a render test of the baked lowpoly mesh. I’ve changed the gun alittle. I’ll explain the functions of it in a new image on my thread soon…I call it the Graviton Particle Destroyer. Basically the spiky ends of the 3 generators on the end of the gun generate artificial dark matter energy which are magnetically held into position by the 3 small generators u see amidst each spike. Im going to make a alpha plane with green electricity going from one part of the spikes to the other till they join. So yeah, he basically triggers the magnetic force to invert and the matter goes in a pulsing frenzy. Whenever something is struck by the beam, whatever atoms in the blast radius are surrounded with zero gravity for 3 seconds, which is enough time to shred anyone into millions of particles.

He now also has Smart Armor probes orbit-patrolling him, taking any incoming projectile damage and smash melee enemies in the face. Next thing ill work on is the backround cuz i dont have one yet!

I took the render and composited it ontop of flames, which i hope to add to my textures if i get the time.
