#21

That is badass!!..very cool!..that’s on fire man!!..very strong so far!! :buttrock:

#22

Oh! man! So strong concept drawing!
Very expect your final result! Good luck!^^

#23

that is very scary and creepy. deformation of it’s face really makes you look at it again. i think you should use this deformation for whole body. his body looks very clean right now.
keep going!

#24

1 is still my fave as well
I like the pale colour scheme, and with contrasting gears, it’s gonna be super sweet!!!
I love the blade behind his head, like if it was an extension of his spine. Keep it up DT!
Show us some concepts for his hand now

#25

Very nice concept!:buttrock:

#26

Dtran I am posting again cause I just checked out your site and holy shit man! Awesome style to your work and love those pieces for “The Fall” It went right into my inspiration folder haha

#27

Wow, nice designs, looks very menacing with that (axe?) arm.

now out of the heads I would go with 1 or 2, more so 2 because of the one side just full of spikes, just looks plain evil xD.

Keep it up.

#28

I would go with 1. Great updates

#29

Amazing Sketches:thumbsup:

keep it up:beer:

#30

Looking good DTran! Keep the sketches coming. I like your character design process.

#31

I like the two-part look, one side of his head got teeth all over him, the other side eyes. I wonder, whether it would fit better to use only one instead of two eyes on that side or even more than two eyes.

#32

I prefer face #1. The nice red eyes contrast nicely amidst that sickly yellowish green tone and make the face pop and don’t get lost amidst the other details. Much more readable as a face from far away.

Looking forward to seeing it’s translation into 3d.

Wow…that was a week gone with nothing done. I was away at gdc and i get back and i see people are way ahead of me now. so i starting painting, i am putting a bit more detail and colour selection into my concept this year. i got burned last year for not doing that. thanks guys for your feedbacks and comments. catch up time.

Here are some progress painting shots

Heres where i am at at the moment.

Yo Dtran, how was GDC man? I wanted to go but am going to just go when its by us in May. I personally like number 3 the most for the legs as it looks most balanced. I am sure if you played with number 1 a little more it would look sick as well. His new hand design is pretty sweet as well. He looks like a true abomination :applause:

#35

Hey Dtran! Good to have you back!

I’m of course loving where this is going… this is going to be one to follow this year for sure… Im leaning towards #3, but it is the safest for sure. #1 could be cool, but I would like to see maybe a shift in weight. Its too stagnant with all that weight so evenly distributed. How would something like that move and what style of combat would it be suited for? with that arm blade fused to it, it definitely throws some balance issues for the demons growth. Especially when it was a little demon and all the other demons picked on him. ;).

Keep it up! Looking awesome!!

#36

Nice concept! Can’t wait to see the 3d version

For me 1 might be the most interesting. Can’t really tell if it will really work at this stage of drawing but for sure there is something to dig.
2 and 3 work as well as they are but this is more common.

#37

Hey  Your work looks so good. To me the legs in no.2 and 3 seem to fit the character best. Great progress

#38

love where this is going, awesome can’t wait to see more. I like number 3 its got an outer shell or skin its forging into flesh kinda like that, its got that survival feel to it.

keep going!!

Man, that last render is sweeet! Very nice! I do think he looks a little bit more stiff than in the pose on page 2, the legs/waist even if they are’nt rendered out well looks better on page2, i might be filling this out myself, dont know… I think what i miss most from the previos page is the bigger curves, the waist against the chest/back etc… As a personal preference I’d prefer smaller bi/tri-ceps and instead a larger forearm, but maybe thats more up to taste i think. I think you should enhance the spikes on his back some too, they made a bigger impact before. Make them a little bit bigger maybe and work the shapes some more, they were more interesting on the 2nd page. I dont know if thats a tale in your previsou sketches, at least i imagined that and thought it looked cool, maybe an even bigger tail… I’m not loving any of the leg designs yet, i would prefer a biped i think, i think you should work on it some more maybe, experiment some… I know it sounds like a lot, but you’ve definately done a great job so far, at first glance i was blown away by your recent image. I’m always nitpicky when looking further… Basically you had some larger forms and a more dyamic/relaxed pose in the sketch on page 2 that was more appealing than those in the last one, but the details are very nice in this last render. Keep up the great work m8, cant wait to see this in 3d!

Hey DTran… I like #1 with the four legs… the spikes balance out the giant right arm spike and the ones on his back. I also like the repetition of that theme throughout his body.

Whichever way you go, this is looking really cool!
