crits and comments are still welcome, going to move onto the platform for now, but the textures are still probably going to be further tweaked if there is time.
Lovely work! I especially like the arcane and astronomical-looking designs on his cloth. My only crit would be that most of him is all the same value (and that’s all a really similar value to the background you have him on.) Incorporating a bit more variation could help guide the eye a bit more and make various features pop more. As it is the artifact gem does pop but the rest is a bit more difficult to read. Your viewport gif animation (which I love seeing!) seems like it has a bit more contrast between the skin and the armor, but it gets lost in the renders.
Anyhow, just a suggestion. Nonetheless, it’s a fantastic piece… Great work!

Plenty of crits about the glow thought, its too soft and flat, it would be nice to put alot more contrast into it. Also the glow on the weapon, personally I would like to less to no glow at all, I think of it as some kind of crystal where light bounces around within, but not really glowing. For example, add much more specularity, make it highly reflective, and tone down the glow alot. That way, the result would be more of an effect from material properties.

Hi everyone thanks for your replies, I am probably going to go back and touch up the textures based on comments if I have time, but right now I am trying to figure out a pose, I started a platform then couldn’t find a pose I liked for the beauty shot

I could really use some help suggestions are more then welcome. Help me pick a pose, these are some that I just kind of came up with, but I think I could use some feedback/crit. Thanks
i’d pick pose 3 and put down the camera a little bit to give him more majesty and power. looking great!!! looking foward to seeing it done!
