I’ve never done anything like this in my life, but being inspired by the artists at my work I am going to give this my best effort. If anything I’m bound to learn a lot.

Here is my first concept sketch for Venai, God-Singer.

Venai is a deeply spiritual man, whose eyes have seen a thousand wars and whose hands have touched a million beings.

Chosen from birth as the Ascendant God-Singer, Venai was taught to wield a holy set of musical conducting batons. With them he conducts a Holy chorus that can heal the wounded, treat the ill and by the will of the gods return someone from the dead.

Update. This took way too long, but this is my first time doing something like this. I had fun coloring it, but I know I want to make the pose more dynamic.

I was advised by my artist friends to not do the second figure yet, as it might be hard to stay within the budget. Given that I’ll just focus on the main character first.
