thank you ScudzAlmighty!

A near final version. This is just a screenshot from maya viewport, with diffuse and normal map.

Textures should be finished by the end of the weekend.

Thanks guys !
I started on the final scene, the one i’ll use for the renders. For now, only Grigore is in place:

This is the hardest part for me. I’m so not good with lighting. This is a wip, still working on the monsters lighting.

looking good. i think you should use the first pose you had with the main character and then the creatures flying over him, but thats just being nit picky. i was gona ask you if your using maya and what kind of light setup do you have? cuz everytime i render in mental ray maya, it always gvies me this blurry desaturated look. you lighting is looking very clean.

good luck

big-whoop:

i like the first pose too, but after consulting with some people i decided it is not the best angle ( most of the character is hiden). I’ll use that pose for the beauty shot instead.

i’m using maya. to get rid of that blur, you have to turn off filtering for the textures. Also you have to check maya derivates in the mental ray settings, under Translation/Performance.

aha it worked. stupid maya derivates, wish i knew bout this before i sumbited the finals for the war lol. thanks for the reply.

cheers.

A strange looking character indeed. Good luck

#73

that’s a freaky entry man. But seriously I like when people doesn’t do generic stuff. Definitely works for me. Great job!!

#74

Really nice job on this character - he looks absolutely insane. It must’ve been a challenge to create 3 good looking characters with the limits you were working under!
