Just a quick update, here’s the base mesh so far…

#23

Hey Fabio, looks great. I like a lot the chest design, really original, cool. One thing, more a wish than a critic :D, the spikes on the head perhaps can be in an out angle (dont know , 45°? :D) for a more agressive head, only a wish  Great work my friend !! Cheers

#24

Thanks my friend. I indeed, the spikes’ position was already improved…

#25

Here is the base mesh almost finished
Next step: detailed sculpting…

#26

Hi Maxter, few critiques from me…
your last render looks alot like coat-stand. Shoulders are realy weird, too sharp maybe.
Whole cloak thing seems like it’s been turbosmoothed 3/4 times. And falloff map doesn’t look so cool either, try to fix it with lights.
Characters nose extention looks kinda funny, figure out something with it

Sorry for harsh critiques - no harm intended just trying to help out:)

Best of luck!

#27

These are hard crits for a base mesh in progress! This is just a base mesh showing the overall shape, not a finished model… lights, materials and smoothing are just ways to show progress in modeling stage.

Anyway, I will have in mind your comment about the shoulders…for the next stage, thanks!

#28

I really wanna see this finished. The the upper body looks nice, but I really wonder how you are going to define his legs and stuff. It’s a good work indeed.

Thanks Kenzo, I’m glad you are liking my character! …now I’m working on body stuff, so I’ll post some of those soon!

#30

Hey Fabio, really great work!, I like a lot the armor on Tlaloc  cool design on it. The hands looks awesome and dangerous  My only comment is about tlaloc shoulders, i think are a bit large on relation with the armor shoulders  (but looks nice ) Superb work !! Cheers my friend and ready for the aguradiente and tequila !!

#31

I’m trying to improve a bit the hands… here is a new design for the forearm, now it’s exposed, please let me know your opinon about this…

#32

Many thanks for your kind words, Fernando! … I was not very happy with the hands and I worked a bit to improve them, I hope these looks better…

Final Concept Sheet

#34

Very cool concept sheet Maxter!
I really dig the weapon, looking really cool. Bit of a shame you drew the weapon as seen from the top, I thought at first it was some kind of spear.

Good idea to expose more of the of his forearm. Is the yellow going to be bone too?
You could try and see which part of his body you could expose more. A bit more bare bones would look cool I think

#35

Hey Fabio, wooww really cool improvement on the hands and arms. The spiral style bone around arm, looks awesome, i like a lot that idea , great :D. The final concept sheet looks great, and i only waiting to see your final render for Tlaloc  (you are close my friend! ) Cheers!!

#36

Art2: Hey thanks man, initially, I had thought in a staff-class weapon, but I changed it to this one, a bit more agressive artifact weapon…now I’m working in this model…about the forearms, yes, all the yellow color parts will be bone. Glad you’re liking it:thumbsup:

Ferx: I hope to finish it in time too, deadline is fast approaching and there is still some work to do… Thanks again my friend, for all the support!
