Quick concept description:
I’m thinking about a dwarf-like warlord that rides atop a giant troll. His artifact may be an extra long ball and chain made of some sort of dark matter.(I’m not sold 100% on this idea yet.) He will utilize the troll for it’s speed and power to maul lesser foes as he swings his massive artifact side to side, devastating any who lie in it’s path.
