dust!

Hi…

I am trying to make some particle dust effects along the lines of the dust in this image

i am having some reasonably successful results… but wanted to get some advice just to check im going about it the right way.

Right now i have got particles emitting from some surface geometry and am using a turbulance field to create a dusty/smokey look… is this the right way to go about it?

also how can i render shadows on the dust/ground plane?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks…
