A great picture Kemar! I particularly like the pose of the woman. Sort of a getting-ready-for-fighting-stance.
Do you care to do a step-by-step on how you put together the image? I mean, in what order you did things, how you worked with the colors and so forth?
great render effect! It’s like a traditional painting! I realy like it.
Bonne continuation! ![]()
Thank for your comments!
zem> To answer your questions, I just followed one of sparth’s step by step…
To be short, I first worked in Black and white very roughly to have the whole composition and idea of the lights, then I just put 2 layers in overlay, one blueish for the shadow, one more yellow/orange for the lighted areas.
Then i flattened the layers and started adding details and depth field…
Maybe i will post some step by step pictures if you 're interested in…
Hey Kemar, I’m very interested to see how you made the painting. To be able to paint like that would be great.
Step by step pictures would really help me get a general grip of the technique, so please post if you can. If it’s not to much trouble for you of course.
I googled after images from the LEmpire de Poussiére series, but could only find two. Do you know if the novel is translated into english?
Oh, and by the way, after seeing the images from LEmpire de Poussiére, I must say that you really got the look right. ![]()

Hey Kemar! Thanx for the step by step, it gives a basic understanding of the technique. Looking forward to see more of your work.
