duber training - 3 new DVD's!

#1

duber training, a division of duber studio, in cooperation with PIXEL , MAXAREA and ORIONFLAME are proud to present their first three-part series of high-quality professional training DVD’s aimed at intermediate/upper-intermediate artists. After researching the market, we’ve created training DVD’s that YOU DEMAND MOST! And why should we stop there? It’s not just creating the training DVD’s that you want, it’s also the services and the amount of data on the disks that we excel at on the market. We believe that the most important factor in the nowdays new-media is the speed. So, we offer our DVD’s in two forms, regular physical media and in a downloadable version! If you want to burn the DVD’s on your own media and you want the data immediately, there’s no problem from our side! Thanks to our secure, unlimited-traffic servers, provided by JTW , you’ll be able to download the data with no problems at the highest speeds possible! But that’s nowhere near where we stop! We know that eager nowdays-learners don’t want to just “watch somebody doing their stuff”, that’s why we also give you ALL the materials we created on the DVD’s, so you can, depending on the DVD, open the “undestroyed” model (the model is in its base form, no subdivision used, so you can actually rig and animate it if you want to!), or use the unwrapped UV’s for placing the painted textures. And to prove that our products really are the best on the market, we demonstrate everything on the DVD’s just as we go through the individual processes! NOTHING WAS SKIPPED! Say good bye to the low-end training products where you only get to see the begining of the process and then the final, polished result. Also the DVD’s are not only superior content-wise, but how they are finished as well. They are not like any other DVD R+/- products, we take pride in our work, therefore, the DVD’s were professionally pressed, packed and printed. There’s nothing better! This way, we also make sure that the DVD’s are 100% compatilbe with your DVD Rom. Sounds good, doesn’t it? But there’s still more! Since we’ve already demonstrated our quality of training on our free NOKIA 6670 and/or finalRender Stage-1 videotutorials, what else could we offer for money?! If you preorder NOW, we give you a V.I.P. videotutorial on setting up shaders and materials for photorealistic rendering ABSOLUTELY FOR FREE!
As if this wasn’t enough, if you buy our “Organic modeling - portrait of a girl” DVD you get $30 USD OFF on purchasing Orionflame v3.0!
But here comes the best part… no matter how unbelieveable all this may sound, here’s the price we want for each of the DVD’s:
ONLY $27.80 USD INCLUDING POSTAGE & HANDLING! And if you order all three DVD’s at the same time, you save 10% OFF THE FINAL PRICE! All of the DVD’s are available in two languages, Czech and English to conveniently bring them to even more customers. And where can you order these DVD’s? In the training section! There hasn’t been anything more convenient than shopping directly on our site! And because we treasure your private information, we won’t ask you for your credit card numbers, even though we run on a secure connection, we prefer direct deposits, so that YOU, our customer, have the control over YOUR money! Nobody offers more!

THE DVD’s ARE EXPECTED TO BE SHIPPED ON MONDAY, DECEMBER the 5th

Organic modeling - portrait of a girl | DVD

This DVD starts the series, logically, by showing you how to model a complex, organic model, demonstrated on a young girl’s head. loocas duber in more than 7 hours of fully dubbed video shows all the principles, techniques and processes needed in order to construct a model with neat, clean and mainly correct topology ready for being rigged and animated. loocas also talks about human anatomy, concerning head and neck areas, about correct deformation zones and shows the viewer how it is done in high-end productions on a regular basis. Since we’ve promised you won’t miss a thing, the entire DVD is uncut and contains everything from setting up the references to final touches on the finished model. The latest techniques require the latest technology, therefore all the modeling is done on 3ds Max 8 with help of Orionflame v3.0

Visit the Organic modeling - portrait of a girl | DVD section for more information and samples.

UV mapping - portrait of a girl | DVD

Following, just like in a real production, is a DVD that sets its goal to finally teach you in-depth how to effectively map your meshes. duber training didn’t want to create an ordinary, average training DVD, we decided we would like you to actually understand what UV’s are and how they work! Therefore loocas took the finished model from the first DVD and mapped it TWICE, firstly to show you how to work with the new Pelt Mapping technology available in 3ds Max 8 and then how to lay down the UV’s in a standard, classical, way. But still, this wouldn’t make the DVD so special if there weren’t clearly presented alternative UV mapping techniques utilizable on both organic and inorganic models along with numerous priceless tips and tricks proven in real productions.

Visit the UV Mapping - portrait of a girl | DVD section for more information and samples.

Texture painting - portrait of a girl | DVD

To finish the series, duber training created a comprehensive Photoshop CS 2 training DVD for those that struggle with texture painting. It is an unwritten rule that the better your textures are, the better your models look. And again, we continue to bring the best possible training to you. We never compromise on the quality of our work, same applies to this DVD. loocas will not only show you how to completely paint textures from a few photograps on your UV layouts, but he also talks and shows things that are a bit beyond pure texture painting, for example, he explains how to decide what size of textures you need for your meshes, how to setup your custom brushes, how to work with alphas and blend modes. All you need for painting you own textures from photographs is explained on this DVD.

Cant wait till i order this and get it, I just cant decide if i want to buy the dvd with box or direct download from you, how big is the dvd and direct download? Chris^_^

#10

 The DVD’s are FULL, so approx. 5Gigs, however that’s because of both, the Czech and the English versions being on one disc, but for the dowload, I’ve separated them, so that you don’t have to download the other language if you don’t want/need to… So it’s a half of a DVD… I believe it’s manageable…

However I still recommend the DVDs, since they’re a professional, physical product… ya know, you can put it in your bookcase and look at it before you go to sleep :D:D

Hey loocas,

Aren’t you tired of producing high-end video tutorials? It looks like you have exposed alot of your modeling workflows and tricks in the first DVD.

I think you should give away a few chapters for free so people see what I am talking about.

Rock on,
Light

Will do my friend… will do…

#13

Heya guys,

I thought it’d be interesting to actually show you what could be done with the model created and finished on the training DVDs, so I pushed it a bit further.

I rigged and skinned her and currently I’m working on hair and clothes for a cool poster first and then I’d like to animate her and, ofcourse, use it on my showreel

So, please, be my guest and check out this WIP thread:

Hey loocas,

I have recently got your dvds, and it is incredible how you managed to make so nice packaging with so little price. Not to mention the contents!

Keep it up,
Light

i totaly agree this is the best head modeling dvd out to date, its take you thru the whole process to modeling a head to texturing and anything in between, its funny how people complain about no head modeling dvds and things like this, they should just pick up all 3 dvds and sit, listen, and learn,
i own all 3 dvds and think there the best thing i have gotten on modeling a head every,
Chris^_^

Thanks a lot guys! I’m really glad you liked the DVDs

I can only promise my next DVDs will be at least as good as these three, but I’ll do my best to make them even better!
