I’m running XSI7.01 in Vista64 on a MacBook Pro via BootCamp (latest version) using the GeForce 8600M GT and no problems so far. However when i try to just run the external display with the laptop screen shut off in the nvidia settings XSI behaves strange. I can’t even create a sphere and it becomes totally unresponsive and frozen after i try to perform something.
I switch the second, laptop screen back on in the nvidia settings and XSI behaves normally again. I tried many different things and even a restart doesn’t help.
What is strange is that i don’t know why XSI freezes because the second screen is shut off, i mean it has nothing to do with OpenGL settings.
It’s probably not even XSI’s fault but maybe something triggers the graphics card to perform strangely when shutting off the laptop screen.
Any ideas?
