This is something that has bugged me for a while. I have been working with some footage shot on a Nikon D3S and I need to matchmove the shot. Specs are as follows:

[li]35mm prime lens[/li][li]35mm full frame sensor (36 x 24mm)[/li][li]1280 x 720px[/li][/ul]The 36x24mm film back applies to the full frame image, but the video mode shoots 16:9 ratio HD, therefore not all of the sensor is used, correct? (this would apply to virtually all video DSLRs) So I am confused over what my film back settings should be in my matchmove software.
Note that I know little about DSLRS or cameras in general to be honest, at least the technical stuff like this, so forgive any lack of details or possibly incorrectness.
Anyone light shed on this will be appreciated.
