Hi, This is my first post and I’m pretty new to maya, and animating in general. I’m having an issue with set driven keys. I’m working on making a walk cycle for a character, and keying each frame of the animation to the custom attribute “Walk” on a controll curve. This controll drives the control shapes for my character’s feet and hips. Now everything was going smoothly until I made a mistake, and “fixed” it improperly. I keyed a few attributes to the wrong value of “Walk”. I Accidently skipped a value, so the character walked too far between walk 7, and walk 8. Then I went and “fixed” this by keying in the wrong value at 7.5.
I’ve tried to fix this by making a new controll, and re-keying the correct values, but (I’m guessing this is because the driven values I’m trying to change are already used) The result is the key gets successfully added, and does nothing. Also I’ve looked into the material editor and found that I can change the values the key I made controlls, but not the value of the key itself (which is what I want changed).
So I guess what I’m asking is. Is it possible to simply delete the key I made at 7.5 (I’m aware I can over-write it) Or better yet, change the key I made at 7.5 to be at 8 without re-keying it.
I realize this sounds insignificant but it’s a simplified version of my problem And currently to fix it I don’t see any other way than to start from scratch. Please help, and thank you.
