DREAMS AND VISION
Objektiv,To generate realistic concept arts which I could use for game production and my portfolio.
How i work
1, First, I look for the references I need.
2, Then, I scribble down the details which I like from the references and from my ideas.
3, After that, I start drawing thumbnails, trying out with different Perspectives, Compositions and Camera angles.
4 Then, I pick one thumbnail which I like the most and start making the basic shapes of the picture and refine it.
5 After that, I lay down another piece of paper on it and start sketching details.
6 Depending how clean the lines I want. I throw another piece of paper on top of it and start cleaning-up.
But, often for concept art the sketch version works fine.
7 Once done with my sketch, I scan it and if necessary I clean the grains in Photo shop.
8 Then, I start figuring out the colors I want and test it until I am OK with them.
9 Then I just keep rendering detail until its good enough. Sometimes, it´s hard to achieve the desired result.
In that case, I try to match or reference a picture which is already rendered by a professional artist.
Mission1, My first assignment is to make 6 thumbnails everyday and take 1 of them into rendering stage by evening.
So, by the end of the week I should have 5 concept arts which I could render.
And, during the weekend render one of the concept arts.
In between, these days I can also watch and read tutorials on which I can get my hands on.
If, some days or weeks I don´t know what to do I can still have one of the concept arts from another weeks to render.
critique and comments are always welcome!
you can critique me on anything about the pictures
ex. which ones i should take further maybe, which ones are good to show in a portfolio, composition, color, rendering, perspective etc. etc
