Drawing beginner has some questions :

  1. What is the difference between drawing on a normal print paper and some “special” paper like people say in tutorials.

  2. About lower arm muscles, should i learn them all or just know the basic shape of the arm?

  3. How many rib bones conect to sternum?

Heya,

I’d like to see you start to post more work than questions. Most of drawing is practice. Let’s see evidence of it!

Hello

  1. different paper types are used in conjunction with different drawing tools (pencil, crayon, pastel, ink, etc) to achieve certain looks or effects. Some papers properties are hard-soft surface, surface texture or grain and weave basically meaning size and shape of paper fibers; relates to how different drawing tools leave a mark on the surface based upon type of material the tool is made of.
Example a hard leaded pencil used on smooth paper would leave a much finer line, than charcol pencil used on ruffer hit grit paper.

  2. Arm muscles learn them but more for how the actually move the bones in the arm. Muscles mostly work by contracting and relaxing in opposition, if you understand what muscles are being used to move the arm to a certian position, you’ll understand how the muscles are going to bulge to give you a better idea how the arm be shaped.

  3. don’t remember, just web search for a skeleton
