I have been trying to get confirmation from anyone, but unfortunately not getting a reply, but what exactly is the difference between the download version and the version that ships?
The no-brainer is obviously the manual, but I am assuming you would still get a pdf version, but my main question is around tutorials. I have heard that the shipped version has a DVD with tutorials on it. Are these tuts available as a download for downloaded Modo versions?

The tutorials are availible on the website once u have ordered the download version.
The main difference is the cost…if you live outside the USA…u have to pay alot to ship modo (ups billing)… Download is very cost effective…all u dont get is a pretty box and paper manual

…now I’ve got to squeeze Modo and christmas in with each other at the same time!

The download version is particularly good for people who live outside the United States, as they don’t pay hefty import tax like they would with a physical parcel.

Can someone post pictures of the product? Does the box show off the cool luxology logo? I want to showcase it in my living room in a glass case with a spotlight.
What is the contents of the box? If it was a CD-ROM with the APP and a hybrid DVD-ROM / DVD for tutorials (so I can play the tutorials on the big screen while eating dinner instead of watching sitcoms) that would be cool! Ok, maybe I’m asking too much here… ah hell I can always just rip the tutorials on DVD-R to play on bigscreen anyway.
Anyway, pictures of the box, DVD-Case, DVD-Rom or CD-Rom, and manual would be great. Thanks.
No one knows if the download version comes also with both versions Mac and PC???
Also would be cool if there was a way to order just the box once you have got the download version … or maybe , a huge poster???

There’s the box… I don’t remember it coming with a tutorial DVD, I think you can just download them. The manual is nice.
Once you register you can just download either platform from the Luxology website. The CD has both platform installs.
The box version includes a DVD for the install. All the training videos are on that disc. They are also included with the DL version. Also, you can get a license key and executable for either platform when you buy the boxed or DL version. We are not selling modo to your computer. We are selling it to you.

Does anyone know if free updates/patches will be available for download for those who’s bought Modo?
1.02, a free upgrade, has been promised but is still not extant. No word on its arrival, so far as I can tell. There are videos showing off the new tools (and they are sweet) for registered owners, but the upgrade is still in the ether.
