Does Painter 10.1 work in Windows 7 64 bit?

I’m giving up on trying to get Painter 9.5 to run on my new system (Dell Studio XPS- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Intel i7, 8g ram nvidia Geforce GTS 240).

I’m trying to determine if Painter 10.1 will run on this system. I’ve heard horror stories about Painter 11- brush issues, memory/resources usage, which last I heard was between 80% and 95% etc and would prefer to upgrade to 10.1 if possible.

I read some threads claiming Painter 11 was the only one that will run on a 64bit system and that earlier versions had problems if you had too much memory.

I running Painter X on my Alienware 17x which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and I haven’t had any issues so far. Tablet works too! Painter version is 10.1
