Do Maya Users need Nuke?

#1

Hi all,

After Maya 2010, do we need Nuke or Tokic is enough?

Thanks.

#2

If your just compositing your own work then yea, Toxik is enough.

#3

What if I want to composite work from other people who use another 3d application.

a 2d image is a 2d image, why does it matter where it came from?

#5

I am sorry maybe I did not get you when you said
( If your just compositing your own work then yea, Toxik is enough. )

Some people prefer one program over the other. Nuke and Fusion tend to be more popular in production pipe-lines for visual effects houses.

But if it’s your own stuff, and your job or the client isn’t requesting a certain program to be used, then any good compositing program will do…which is why he said Toxik is enough.
