Does modo already support Distributed Rendering?
If so, how many slaves do you get per license?
Distributed Rendering_
bump
doesn’t any know?
it is a straight forward question…
Can I use multiple computers to render a single frame / image in modo, or only a single computer?
thanks for any info,
You can try a hack method to get it working in 201/2/3 which invloves changing the location were the buckets are stored and enabling write to disk etc. I cant remember exactly how its done though, but it was mentioned on the official Lux forums.
Brad mentioned also on the forums that actual distributed network rendering will be part of the next major release of modo.

Cheers.
I was wondering about that same thing the other day, and it was an anounced plan on their roadmap(along with the linux thing), but as far as I know they haven’t got there yet…
or have they?
EDIT… lol same time, thanks for the answer, jikes I used to do that on lw, wonder if radiosity calculations will allways give the same results on different computers not sharing the radiosity data…
Luxology has also mentioned that there will be an upper limit to the number of slaves per license, somthing around 100.
