Dissertation: Anatomy for Character Art

Hello. I am currently studying toward a degree in Concept Art. I’m now in my 3rd year and in the process of writing my dissertation.

There are a few questions I’d really like to ask current character artists, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know:

  1. Why it is so important to learn anatomy for your art?
  2. How anatomy has helped improve your art
  3. What is your preferred method of learning and practicing anatomy in your work?
