I m student in animation and I never have a good displacement :shrug: , I searched a long time on internet ask professors and nobody responded, so I try here, I work on Maya 2015 and Zbrush 4R6.
i m rendering with mental ray, i think my problem is the export setting from zbrush.
I try to set up the vector displacement map with the zbrush diagnostic i had a positive test for the 11 (with approximation editor on parametric subdiv to 3) but there are still artefacts on the test ball, and when i try on a model is WTF, always UVs seams are visible and the displacement realy not look like the sculpt, when it work “well”
classic displacement work not so bad too but this is never the same thing than sculpt too.
So I if somebody have some tips and tricks Thanks in advance.
