Displacement extraction problem

hi guys, Iv just extracted a displacement map from Mudbox2009

it looks like the displacement is sculpted over the coarse mesh, but offcourse it should be smooth, what could i be doing wrong?

Right ive figured it out- You have to step back the sub-devisions before you extract the Displacement or Normal Map :slight_smile:

My bad- its still not working, displacement map produced has lots of unwanted edges.

try to turn on Smooth uv in Mesh>add subd level OPTION BOX >> Smooth UVs

this is perhaps the answer.
